Just got a Panasonic NVDS30 for Xmas. What do I need for PC editing? Must I have a firewire card and cable, or can I use Windows Media Player and a USB cable?

For good quality footage you need to input your video via a firewire card and some basic editing software like Studio 7 (or 8 if probelems have been fixes). Most cards are supplied with a cable for the camcorder to connect to the PC.
Your PC will need to be running Windows98SE or later and will need 1Gb of disk space for every 4 minutes of video you capture (plus space for edited footaged)
