dv 79 prob

    My dv79 displays a slight fault when connected to my sony hs50 projecter.

    when i connect via hdmi and y cb cr i get very bad vertical banding on enything the colour red.
    When i swith the dvd player to rgb this is not evident.

    Please help.

    Sorry do you mean when you connect via HDMI with the DV79 set to output component DIGITAL or do you mean when you are outputting component analogue to the projector?

    just checked that now.
    both. the best way to test is the red club scene in reseviour dogs. when the unit is set to output y pb pr on analogue or digital i get banding, switch to rgb and it's fine.
