Hi, I've got the opportunity to get a Pioneer DV-350-S or a DV-444-S for free. I was wondering which one was better? Naturally I realise that the 444 appears to be a higher model number than the 350, but as far as I'm aware the 350 came along to replace the 444... is this correct? When hunting for prices, the now discontinued 444 always sells for a lot more than the current budget model 350. So which one should I go for? Cheers, Chris
The 350 was a later model than the 444, but whether it was better or just a product cycle replacement i don't know (i would guess the latter) I can say though that the 444 is a good player that has good sound and picture and will play pretty much anything you want to put in it.
the 350 wasn't the replacement for 444, though 350 is newer than the 444 but spec wise both players are almost identical, the only difference is the 350 has virtual dd, and new remote
So there isn't any difference in quality? I was under the impression that the 444 was built with higher quality parts.
not sure about that one. i own a 444, it's a great player. it's best if you can try and compare both players side by side.
