    Hi,

You should stick to the Theatrical Cut of Dune, if picture quality is your main concern. However, which region to go for, is purely dependent on your DVD set-up, i.e. can you play R1 discs or NTSC pictures?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I can play both NTSC and PAL. Which Region Theatrical 'Dune' is the best?

How about the 4th version - the Region R4 Theatrical Cut (Infogrames) with PAL widescreen and DD5.1 and DTS! About £12 from www.ezydvd.com.au or www.dvdcrave.com including p&p and takes about 3 days! Have a look at this forum for previous reviews of the two formats - the TV format one gets a bashing....

    Hi,

Apparently, there are 3 different versions of this FILM (not the new mini-series) on DVD. There's the Region 1 Theatrical Cut (Universal), the Region 2 Theatrical Cut (Castle), and finally the Region 2 Extended TV Edition (Castle). Which one is the best one to go for? Picture quality is my main concern.

    Thank you,

    M.J.
