Unintended Consequences

Hello, new subscriber here.
First of all, I’d like to thank everybody in advance for the support.
Anyway, so I’ve got my new Dune 4K media player set up in conjunction with my new Samsung Q led Neo and want Dolby Vision and DTS so I go via the media player if I want to watch Netflix Dolby Vision/media file titles. Everything works fine except my AVR which is a Sony is outputting “linear PCM“ which is weird considering I am passing through audio through ‘digital audio output mode: ‘original’ and HDMI ‘HD audio enabled’)
One point, my Sony AVR is passing through everything via E – ARC if that’s relevant?
edit. I’ve just been reading that Netflix is not officially licensed so I imagine the player is somehow passing through raw native Netflix files perhaps the NF settings are defaulted which means essentially PCM stereo if I remember correctly…
