    Hi,

Sorry for crap question, I am sure I know the answer however I wanted to check.

Apart from the OSD on the D1 being an internal HDD bay on the H1..

What are the differences? I do not care about the OSD at all so I would hate to buy the D1

    Cheers.

No difference outside of those. Exact same specs and functions.

H1 is cheaper, and it's got it's own owners thread on these forums unlike the D1 pretender. Lol

From reading MPC forums I get the impression HDDs can get hotter in the D1, but I'll wait for the backlash from that comment...

got a d1 with a 2TB green WD drive and don't have any problem. you can have a problem if you use 7200rpm drive or if you have a smart from the first batch that didn't have vent holes to help the unit to cool down.

It's easier to swap HDDs with the H1.

If the unit is on display, I can appreciate some may like the look of the D1 (ie, seeing the display), but is there any information on the display that can't be seen on screen (with an appropriate remote button press)? If not, the H1 seems like the better choice to me.
