Exteneded edition?
No mention of it, so i'd expect not. The theatrical cut is the director's cut, and David Lynch essentially disowned the projected post any extended cuts being released, so it wouldn't really surprise me to never see a release of that version again. The extended cut was only initially available for TV broadcasting, followed by a 2006 widescreen DVD release by Universal and an independently released German blu-ray. There has never been a blu-ray release of the extended cut in the UK/US, and no release at all by Universal.

Quite like the SB but the movie (only saw it for the first time a few months ago) is a bit bonkers (though nothing wrong with bonkers) and meh for me.

You honestly prefer the extended? Which version have you seen, the dvd or the tv version?
The blu-ray version from germany can be bought here, it's long out of print though, so your only option is a second hand one that'll cost you 45euro shipped to the UK.

I like both, but have alwasy felt the extneded makes a bit more sense.

Extremely tempted by a Steelbook in a long time.

I need the forum to decide. On the one hand the normal boxset with the worm doesn't look too great - but at least its different. Steelbook on its own looks fine. But do I need the deluxe steelbook with all the tat?

Its Dune though! I might have to go all in.

Only ever seen bits of this version of Dune, many moons ago. I don’t think that’s going to alter.

Any discount code floating around?

Germany releases different design...

Well that's...different! I'm not sure what to make of it to be honest. Its like is for a different film!
