I have a 4 year old LE40F86 lcd.. great screen love it to bits...

I had virgin for years with no problem. Unfortunately I installed sky and although things were great for 2 months it now seems I get a message - Your display is not HDCP compatible.
Having had it working for 2-3 months I've assumed it was the sky box, yet an email from Sammy themselves have stated that the lcd is not hdcp (does not support 1.2).
Now I have seen a number of different thread about different manufacturers products being affected by this HDCP issue, and each TV/monitor being fairly new (4 years to me isn't old!) does any one have any experience of getting around this technology blackmail to change V expensive hardware?

Hi, is it a new sky box and have you the latest f/w on it?
Chris

it was fresh out of a box 3 months ago, and I have forced a software update (at least twice) with no improvements.

According to the specs from a few online retailers, the set has the HD Ready logo. If it does, then it must support HDCP as that's part of the HD Ready specification.
