'Duel:Collector's Edition' is due for general release (as opposed to the aborted attempt last year) on August 17th.

    CAN$19.98 from DVD Soon

Thanks for that Confucius (as he gets his CC out).

I see that it is 4:3 and dvdcompare mentions this was the original aspect ratio.
It has been such a longtime since I saw this at the movies, but is that right?

I think I was 8, so my memory is now a little clouded.

It was originally made as a 'TV movie', so 4:3 is correct. I believe there was, at one point, some debate as to whether the DVD should be framed as 1.78:1.

addendum: Duel at DVD Soon has dropped to CAN$15.98

Upstairs, on my shelf. I was quick enough to buy this before it was withdrawn from sale when it was last scheduled for release. Despite being a TV production, the transfer is pretty great and it looked much better than I remember from TV prints. The sound is obviously nothing to shout about, but it's clean audio and a good disc overall.
