Dual subs, worth it or not?

My current setup is as follows:

Yamaha DSP-A1
Mission M74 Fronts
Mordaunt-short MSB-20 Rears
Paradigm CC-170 Centre
Yamaha YST-SW90 Sub

I think the sub is about the weakest part of my system, would it be worth getting another identical sub and running them through the split outputs on my amp? Or would I be better off getting rid of the yammy and replacing it with one larger/better sub?

in this case I would suggest getting rid of the Yam sub and replacing it with a single larger sub.

I had the same sub myself and although it served me well, it really doesn't reach that low. As Chris says a single (better) subwoofer would be far better than another SW90.

What is your total budget?

I agree with the above advice - a single better sub would serve you better.
