I have a nvidia geforce 128mb fx 5200 graphics card in my machine, which is being used by my tft monitor thru the standard monitor port. I was wondering if I could use the dvi port for a second monitor.

My question is can I use a normal crt monitor or does it need to be tft and also what special adapter do i need?

    Thanks in advance

You can use a normal CRT through a DVI->VGA adaptor. Many graphics cards that have DVI ports come with an adaptor, if not you can pick one up on ebay pretty cheaply. I'm sure some component retailers sell the adaptors but I'm too tired to check right now..;)
