Looking at buying a 1440p in the classifieds (Crossover q27 led-p), however it only has a Dual DVi output for 1440p resolution

My graphics card is gigabyte windforce 7950 whch features Dual-link DVI-I / HDMI / Mini DisplayPort*2

I want to use the HDMI output to send video/audio to my AV Receiver & TV downstairs and use the Dual-link DVI-I to send video to the Crossover monitor at full 1440p resolution

How would I send audio to my Yamaha YSP-1100 when using the monitor?

If it helps I also have a Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme 7 with optical out if that helps?

    If I have this right:

    7950 HDMI > AV > TV (1080p?).

7950 DVI-I > 1440p Monitor with optical or analogue via RCA connector?

That should be fine but you will have the trouble of two audio devices (X-Fi Xtreme and AMD Digital out HDMI).

Some programs can be configured to use a dedicated audio device, others tend to use the default audio device in windows, depending on the monitor you may have to set this manually every time.

You can use a program called Virtual audio cable but is not free and can be hard to set up.

Yep that's the setup, will mainly use AV setup for XBMC (and the odd gaming sesh)

Monitor setup is mainly for web browsing and hardcore gaming:smashin:
