My HTPC is running very nicely, and looks great on my proecjtor.

My problem is that now I want to run a second display, an LCD monitor, from the PC. The projector runs at 1280x720 and I would like to "clone" the display on to the LCD.

However, a 17" screen is 1280x1024, what kind of affect will this produce? Will the screen "stretch" the image vertically, will there be black bands above or below or will there be noise (much like a wrong resolution setting in PowerStrip)?

Alternatively - should i buy a 15" screen (1024x768), is there any way I can run two sets of monitor profiles and flip between the two?

    Thanks all
