    Hi,

This could well turn out to be a stupid question so please ignore my ingorance.

I have Yamaha RXV800RDS amp, and a Warfedale 750 DVD.

Now I'm under the impression that all of the Warfedales have DTS, is this true?

    My probelm is this,
I endured Fast and Furious last night but couldn't get DTS sound.
If I selected DTS on the amp I just got silence.

I am using CO-AX digital connector to the amp in to the SAT/CBL CO-AX input, and have remapped that input to DVD. Could this be a reason for no DTS? Do I have to use the optical link for DTS to work?

Or is there anything else I should be doing? Do I have to tell the DVD to output in DTS mode?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Yours confused,
    Jezz.

When you want to play DTS on receivers you need to select DTS on the DVD itself. For instance on the 2 DVD Shrek version you need to go into the 2nd disk to select the DTS option. With that done all you need to do is have the selection on your amp set to auto and it should work.

    Good luck

    Cheers for your replies.

Yeah the outstream was set to bit, I had played with that already.

I knew is would be some ignorange probelem, as pointed out by WSC I had to chose DTS from the lanuage. How embarassing.

Tal, yeah the amp is great, i've just take delivery of a set of the new KEF coda's 70's 80 and 90's and a KEF sub and it does sound good. Even better now I have DTS working.
I think for the money, (£360) you'd have a job to beat it.
However having only had my speakers a couple of days I have a week's worth of messing around to do with it to explore it's possiblities.

    Jezz.
