DTS query

    Hello,

    Will i be able to play DTS DVD's on my Tosh sd34vb even if i don't have a DTS system?

    AFAIK yes they will play juts without DTS sound!

    It will play but you won't have any sound becuase there will be nothing to decode the sound for you.

    All DTS DVDs (which I have seen/owned) also have stereo & Dolby Digital sound on it too. DTS is usually highlighted as it is more unusual than the other formats found on disks

    Don't know about DTS Music discs though?

    I've a few DTS music discs and they also play in Dolby 2.0 stereo.

    A DTS encoded disk will give you sound, but not DTS sound, only dolby digital, every disk ive ever seen comes with dolby digital as standard, and dts as an option ( DTS has more 'impact' )
