I have a question regarding my 360 add on, is the DTS option really DTS?, as it certainly says it is through my amp but how can it be if it's not on the dvd itself?

The Xbox transcodes whatever is on the disc to DTS. This allows it to pass a higher bit rate over optical than it can with DD.

Yes it does for HD-DVD and normal DVD's. Games are still DD only.

theres no option on the dash that lets you choose dts (only stereo,5.1 and wma pro) and my amp didn't go into "dts mode" on the lcd display.. when i just tested scare face.. (thats dts,but there's also no optin on the menu to choose this) so ??????

You need to choose advanced from the options menu when playing a dvd or hd-dvd. there is an audio menu within which lets you select from a number of formats, including DTS.

DTS does work on the 360 with Scarface. You have to go to the langauges menu on the DVD. There you will see something along the lines of English (DD5.1) and English (DTS) :smashin:
