Quick question guys, playing a bluray on the xbox one doesn't flag up DTS-HD MA on my av receiver, I have audio set to DTS 5.1 in the settings app, my dedicated bluray player has no such problems with the sound formats?

The xbox one does not support bitstreaming of HD audio formats yet, only uncompressed multichannel LPCM.

There is no bitstream option in the console settings only uncompressed audio formats up to 7.1ch and a DTS option, no Dolby Digital either.

So what would be the best settings for audio? 5.1 uncompressed or DTS?

    Thanks

Depends on how many speakers your running through your AVR, I have 5.1, so set to uncompressed 5.1.

Uncompressed is always the best setting. If anybody is concerned, you will get the same audio quality whether the audio is sent to your receiver as PCM or Bitstream. For some Blu-rays PCM output is slightly more reliable.

True, however people like seeing the True-HD and DTS-HD etc.. to show on their AVR, I know I do..

So is this the same way the PS3 fat worked.. That showed LPCM on my amp with a DD THD disc.

So the best setting is uncompressed 5.1 for games and blu ray yes?

Yes, or 7.1 if you have 7 speakers and a sub.

@-Hitman- thanks for confirming that. Was only asking @addaman last night and we were wondering why MA wasn't showing on the amp.

Basically if you want lossless audio set it to either 5.1 or 7.1 uncompressed LPCM.

Anyone else found that Blu-Rays have lip-sync issues?
