Should work. (I have no problems with my DVL919e/AX10 combo. Ensure all your i/o's are digital and activated, both in amp and LD player.
    Success.

Ensure the optical cable is in the right dvd port on your amp and that the dvd player is outputting the right sound format, try both bitstream and PC??? Whatever the other one is called. Hope this helps.
