My recent 3801 upgrade was to replace a DPL only Yamaha A592 - To get DD & DTS from the Yamaha I paired it with a Pioneer 626D DVD player which has its own on board DD & DTS decoders - My question is when I listen to a DTS DVD how can I tell if I have set the 3801 / 626 up correctly so that the DTS is being decoded by the amp and not the DVD player ?
    TIA - Paul

If it is only connected via coax or Toslink then it must be the amp.
