Another technical question. I am having a problem with understanding the term 'DTS discrete' over 'DTS Matrix.' Matrix decodes the information from the left/right surround and creates a new back channel. Discrete is a full bandwidth channel : 6.1. Is this right?? Is there any 6.1 material available yet and is it worth making sure I have 'DTS discrete 'decoding on any new amp I may purchase. Does this 6.1 format have a significant future?

    Hi

Your spot on with what DTS Matrix and Discrete are.

In the dvd talk forum is a complete list of avalaible EX/ES titles.

Titles of note that have DTS Discrete 6.1 are

    Chicken Run R1
    Se7en R1 & R2
    Gladiator R1
    The Haunting R1
    Rush Hour 2 R1

Once you´ve heard it you´ll wish they did all films in the format!!

    cheers
