    A few connected questions here.

    1) Does the (experimental) AR switching in DScaler work yet?

    2) Does it work by looking at the image or by detecting the "+5V DC offset on the C side of the Y/C signal" (quoted from What TV and Video)?

    3) If I get an RGB to S-video transcoder will it pass this +5v from pin 8 of the scart to the format mentioned above?

    4) and will my processor (Yam E800) pass it through?

    Thanks
    Alex

    1) Sort of... It does require the contrast to be set right

    2) No it looks for black letterbox bars, this also means any anamorphic info is lost.

    Ah - thanks John.
So it sees no difference between full-screen 4:3 and full-screen Anamorphic?

I guess that the rgb-s-video stuff is therefore moot.

    Cheers
    Alex
