I have a rave tv card for producing progressive images to my Panasonic AE100 LCD Projector. When using Descaler to improve picture quality from Sky via s-video, I get juddery pans and basically juddery video most of the time, I am getting wide480 displayed in the projector menu to prove it is getting the best possible image via Powerstrip.
I have Dscaler set to Auto detect pulldown, and de-interlaced set to (bob).

Can anyone tell me how to improve the video playback with dscaler.

    Cheers

P.S My PC has a AMD k6 333 processor, maybe this is my problem.

Yep, I'd say it's the processor not being up to the job. I use exactly the same combination with an AMD Duron 800 processor and it's fantastic, no judders or anything. Check what the minimum spec is for DScaler to get no loss of frames (I'd say at least a 500Mhz processor probably)

    Cheers

Yep, I just found this at Dscalers website
. Please note that currently, your performance may degrade significantly if your CPU is slower than 400 MHz or your video card is not AGP. In addition, when using a system that is borderline fast enough, DScaler is sensitive to system tray applications and active services.
I really need to upgrade my PC. :(

    Thanks

You could try the ecs k7s5a and a duron 1000 - both'll cost you less than £100.

    Gary.
