Hello. I bought a sky+ box and installed it in the living room and all was well. I moved the existing DSB 30 unit from the living room to the kitchen to replace another DSB30 which had failed. A simple unit exchange. I switched it on and it came to life, at least the picture did, the sound quality was awful. The same poor sound came from the audio output as well. Signal and quality levels are good so i plugged it back into it's old site. Same result. I've obviously done something but i've no idea what. I've done the new system install to no avail. This unit has given us many years service without a glitch and this is the first time it has been moved. The only other change is it's on a free view card. It was working fine on the quad LMB before i moved it. Any idea's? Many thanks, andy. :lease:

Failure after cooling down is often a sign of dud electrolytics.

Does that mean it's dead then? or is it repairable?

    They're nearly all repairable.

Panny 30's are now quite old and, as you can buy a new digibox for £88 these days on ebay, the 'is it worth it?' bit gets quite difficult to answer.
