DS Advice Needed

Im thinking about purchasing a DSlite mainly for the Mario games . I know the new DSi is out in 2009 im just wondering if the games for the new DSi will be compatible with the DSlite?

They will, it's only the GBA games you won't be able to play on the DSi as it doesn't have the GBA slot like the DS/DS Lite has.

Just to update this post, while the DSi will be fully compatible with all DS games, games specifically made for the DSi will not be compatible with the DS Lite(this was confirmed by Nintendo recently, perhaps an effort to encourage people to switch over from their DS Lites).

Sort off expected this news really, i just hope they keep publishing games for the original DS/DS lite aswell!

They'd have to be insane not to with the number of DS/DS Lite units sold. I don't think you need worry
