I think I need some advice before I go drilling big holes :D

I have a newish (4 year old) house which is dry lined (i.e. plasterboard stuck on breeze block with large blobs of glue).

I'm planning to run a set of cables for my PJ up behind the dry lining on one wall and then into the ceiling to run parallel with the joist to where the PJ will be sited. I have no access to the ceiling void upstairs 'cause I've got that lovely T&G chipboard sheet flooring.

I'm quite happy about running the cables up the wall (I've already done some speaker cables this way) but I'm woried about getting from the top of the wall to the ceiling void.

Has anyone done this before ? I'm hoping I can just drill a smallish access hole at the top of the wall, hook a fishtape or similiar straight into the ceiling void and pull it out by the PJ.

I REALLY don't want to start to have to cut into the coving to get the cables from the wall to the celing.

    Any advice ??

Yeah, that will work fine as long as the ceiling joists run the right way;)
