    Hi,

Yes. I have has a HD box for nearly a year now with no subs. However, If you already have a sub it is most probably for a min 12 mth contract so if that is now finished I think you just have to give SKY 30 days notice?

    Thanks

    Mel

I dropped mine after 12 Months
    I can't say I've missed it TBH
BBCHD and CH4 HD Are nice to have.
I watch a lot more Blu-Rays now, which is my preferred way of getting a HD fix

Nope, don't need to swap anything - leave the HDMI in there.

All you will lose is access to the subscription HD channels (movies, nat geo, art, sport etc).

You will still get the sub-free HD channels (BBC, Ch4) in glorious HD.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

I didn't read it that way. I assumed she meant that she was dropping the HD subs but that she would still have other sky subs so would have the EPG.

If you mean will the SkyHd bit of the EPG will disappera than I think not. The EPG is determined by the firmware on the box. So HD boxes have the HD EPG and SD boxes don't.

Sure you won't be able to select some of the channels on the EPG but that is the same with any Sky EPG - sports appears whether you have bought it or not.

    Cheers,

    Nigel
