Here is my revised entry. Been a tough subject matter this month and I am sure we have all racked our brains wondering what we could shot.

So there I was waiting for the kettle to boil thinking about 'raw' when it dawned on me. Water! Use it everyday raw or otherwise

So, here is my pic, taken on my 350D in manual mode. ISO 100, 1/200, F 5.6 for a blurred background, trying to catch the droplets! Cropped and resized for the forums as a thumbnail.

    Thanks for looking.

    Pete.

Very nice shot, almost looks like a CGI effect.

RAW water? Do you have 'cooked' water?

Nice photo - how many shots did it take to capture that drop just right?

Also, what focal length were you at - the DOF is very shallow for 5.6.

Well, was thinking about coffee, tea etc. So evidently this is water in its raw form!

I took about 20 shots in quick fire mode, and this one came out well along with a few others. I think I was at about 35mm on my kit lens.

I agree, that is a brilliant shot, you've captured that water droplet perfectly. The background although burred out of focus is a little dark though and detracts slightly for me. What's it like as a colour shot?

Having said all that I am really nit-picking and is still the best photo this month so far.

Simon, for some reason it does not work in colour, hence the black and white. Point taken, lighter shot uploaded.

It looks just like a professional shot that you'd find in a brochure for something expensive. Although i like this one a lot, there is still something about electrolyte's that makes me unsure which one i will vote for. No doubt more great ones will enter though, and i thought mine was good :(

Like the photo, like the composition although I'm afraid it doesn't speak 'raw' to me.

Fair enough, but lets face it, a lot of this months efforts are tenuous to say the least. Tricky subject IMO.
