    Hi
Does anyone know where to buy a new dreamcast from? I've been having real trouble with dreamcasts, i've gone through 5 in the last few months, i know they are notorious for breaking down. Anyone know where i can purchase a new dreamcast? I've only seen it for £80 online, seems a bit pricey to me.

    Cheers :)

    Matt

The odd new one pops up on e-bay. What has been happening to them? I've just fixed 2 dead ones with a new power supply for each from www.play-asia.com. About £12 including p+p and an easy job.

i don't know, i just find them so unreliable.

The one i have currently just doesnt display a picture. I plug in the scart, no picture. Then i plug in the rf lead, no signal at all.

    Its strange eh?

The other ones i have had just seem to go kaput!

is there any warranty offered on the dvds you fixed?
not even a 90 day good will guarantee?

    Eh ???
The ones that just went kaput, I bet they just needed a new psu.
The £12 including p+p if for a new power supply from play-asia ,they don't fix it for you . It's dead easy to fix yourself.
As far as the problem with your current DC try

or a search of the forums there. A great many DC repairs are pretty simple . Putting the new power supply in is as easy as putting ram in a pc.
