Sega Dreamcast with 2 official controllers, 1 vm memory unit, 14 top game all with manuals and all but 3 cases all in mint condition as bought.

    Games:
    Shenmue
    Virtua Tennis
    Virtua Athlete 2k
    Virtua Striker
    Resident Evil 2
    Sydney 2000
    Racing Simulation Monaco GP
    Star Wars Racer
    V Rally 2 Expert Eddition
    90 Minutes Sega Championship Soccer
    WWF Royal Rumble
    Vigilante 8: Second Offence
    Ready To Rumble Boxing
    ECW Hardcore Revolution

Just picked this bundle up on E-Bay for £55 including delivery (Probably swindled).

No nothing about dreamcast bit of an impulse buy :).

Was wondering if the kind people of the forums can tell me if the games in the bundle are any good and what games I should look out for on ebay, especially games unique to the console.

Was thinking of getting a mouse in keyboard could this be a good investment for the games in the bundle.

    :smashin:

Also would really like to get lots of shooting games with guns (Can use 2 guns at same time?).

    howdy,

If you like shenmue then get shenmue 2:it's bigger and better (voices japanese only tho). it's rare tho, so you'll have to pay thru the nose unless ur lucky enough to see it floating about cheap 2ndhand.

Lightgun wise, There's House of the Dead and Confidential Mission (both great, especially HotD in a campy way): both support twin lightgun action, confid mission is probably better graphics and gameplay wise, and has several different multiplayer modes. U can also get virtua cop 2, but on jap import only, i'm afraid: u don't need to have ur dreamcast chipped, just buy a convertor disc (available for about a fiver).

If you like beat'em'ups then get powerstone or (pref) powerstone 2 -- they're great and manic and utterly insane. also soul calibre for more traditional 3d violent hijinx.

Also jet set radio (superb) and Metropolis Street Racer (both dreamcast exclusives), and Seaman (import only): a bizarre, sophisticated tamigotcha thing with voice recognition.

other great games like Res Evil Code Veronica, Virtua tennis 2, headhunter, ecco, rez, crazy taxi et al all came out multiformat, so if u've got a ps2 u can probably get these easier and cheaper.

it's only really worth getting keyboard/mouse for quake 3, outrigger and half-life
    regards,
    anephric

Try gamestation they tend to sell cheap DC games!!!

Also try and get bass fishing!! AND THE rod!!!

Here are a few places to get cheap games!!

http://www.lik-sang.com/list.php?category=171& - Have the coveted SONIC 2 10th anniversary pack for 6 quid!!!!!!! And if you buy Samba de amingo you NEED the marracas!! from here - http://www.gibsoft.com/subcat.asp?subcat=50&cat=23 (also have cheap guns)

And if you get the UTOPIA disk (kazaa have it, it's freeware) you can also get imports from here - http://www.sega-parts.com/products/dc-prices.htm and they are pretty cheap as well!!!

If you have a DC you NEED some if the quirkier titles, BUT inport light gun games tend NOT to work on UK TVs. I had Confidential Mission Jap and it just would not work! And if you get the official DC lightgun, check out th ewarnings, they are pretty funny. Also try Crazy Taxi with the fishing rod!

I am not a deranged fanboy, but the DC was a fantastic bit of hardware with some trult great titles!

DO NOT BUY FROM GIBSOFT! their customer services are worse than useless took four months to recieve a memory card that was supposedly in stock, then when it arrived it didn't work:mad: . Needless to say I personaly will never use them again.

The dreamcast is a console which needs to be made multi-region to reach it's peak. Get it chipped which can be got for about a fiver (only four wires, easy install) and is much more convienient than disc-swapping.

www.videogameimports.com always have a good selection of cheap DC games and excellent service (replaced a faulty scart lead in two days and gave credit for postage).

Also have a look at simplesimon1966's auctions on EBay great prices and service (imo)

if u don't mind frequenting Cash Convertor stores, they have now reduced all of their traded-in Dreamcast games to £2.49!

It's absolutely random depending on the store and its location, but the one i buy from had Shenmue, Streetfighter 3 Alpha, Rainbow Six etc. Not bad for £2.49 each.

Check the discs b4 u buy, tho. And it's arbitrary whether the games still have their manuals.

    regards,
    anephric

I think VT2 is also worth getting, if you have anyone to play 2-player with.

Depending what sort of games you like here are a few of my favs for the dc. Crazy taxi, MSR, Daytona usa, resident evil code veronica, Rez and jet set radio. Really is a great console, you won`t be dissapointed.
