First it was Galaxy Quest, then it was Road to Eldorado now it's Gladiator!!! all disks are R1 versions all have played fine on my Wharfey 750 - now they lock up the machine once the disk is put in the tray - I bought a lens cleaner today whch I tried twice but nada..they work up to a point on the ps2, Eldorado goes to the last chapter before getting a disk error - Gladiator gets half way through before getting a disk error?!? (haven't tried galaxy yet)
All disks have been well looked after and don't have any visible damage or marks on the surface...so now what?
Is it something to do with Dreamworks pressing of disks? Or the Wharfey? I'm getting close to upgrading the dvd player which will hopefully work with these disks...any suggestions/similar experiences??

    All opinions welcome

    cheers

Is it only with these three discs or does it do it on all discs??

Bit odd if its only the three. If its all discs then sounds like the player is knackered.

nope just these 3 so far - which made me think there may be a connection with dreamworks dvds..it's probably only a matter of time before Saving Private Ryan & Shrek bite it too...

It can be glitchy with some disks which is why I bought the cleaner..but, no joy..it looks like it's got a hot date with the spare room...

    cheers
