    For sale, two HDMI-related items:

The Dr HDMI is a small non-powered unit which connects inline and resolves almost all HDMI and handshake problems. There's a very enthusiastic review here.

I bought this on the recommendation of Joe Fernand and it did exactly what it claimed to do.

Current price is around £67. For sale at £45 including delivery.

The NEET HDBase T extender is now SOLD. ...relays an HDMI signal over a single data line up to 70m. This is a much better unit than the cheaper equivalents, and worked perfectly for me.

    Thanks for the link.
No, that's too much of a drop. I'd take £45, to include delivery.
    Thanks for your interest.

Can I ask what you used the Dr HDMI for please? I have some terrible handshake problems to my projector but I'm not sure it's worth diving in head first...

Hi, thanks for your interest. I bought it for exactly the same reason: handshake problems between my amp and my projector. It made a big difference but didn't eliminate the problem entirely, but then I discovered that the HDMI board in the amp was faulty. The amp is currently being repaired, so I no longer need the Dr HDMI.

Interesting.... Wonder if this would help with what I guess is handshake issues with my amp/pj/eecolor - New equipment with old. It works nicely whilst a bluray is running, but my laptop via the amp throws it at times going into a checking loop every now and then and my eecolor box will sometimes drop into standby mode like it isn't receiving a signal?

A checking loop interspersed with blackouts of several seconds or more is exactly what I was experiencing. As I said, the Dr HDMI cut down on this by a considerably extent but not completely, presumably because the amp itself was faulty as I later discovered. If the unit managed to improve results from a damaged component in the chain I imagine it would certainly work with gear that was in perfect condition (apart from the handshake difficulties).

£40 delivered is probably a worthwhile gamble? Bank transfer.
