    Hello

Sorry if this is a naive question, but I would like to be able to download the old videoVHS tapes using my Samsung DVD-VR355 player (it plays both tapes and DVDs) onto my Win 7 laptop.

I have one of those HDMI cables that plugs in to my laptop and there is a correct fitting for the cable at the back of the Samsung player, but I can't seem to download the video tapes while they are playing.

How can I resolve this problem, please?

    Thanks

    Steve

The lap top and the PVR HDMI;s are both outputs.
You need something like this. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003PSHEY4/
If you are trying to coy old Video tape films it is not worth it. Get the DVD as not doubt they are only about £3 each.
For old home movies then it is worth doing.

    Hello Andy98765

That's very helpful, I'll try to get hold of one.

Yes, it's to put old home videos onto DVDs.

    Many thanks.
