Hi everyone, I am very new to the mac scene, (been using and selling windows for past 10+ years).
My question is been using/experimenting with Xbmc and downloaded a few things which were to the default folder it picks, only recently noticed you can pick where to save downloads.
So does anyone know where these downloaded items are saved to within my mac? I am finding it hard to find my way around it at the moment.
It seems a bit of a pain to open Xbmc each time to watch my downloads when I could just have them saved to desktop or within a folder to get to them quicker.
    Thanks
    James

Well presumably they will have gone to the downloads folder which is where most things seem to download to unless you specify a different folder. Downloads are normally found in the bottom left corner near the trash. Otherwise search for a downloaded file in the spotlight and when you click use the cmd key and it should open the folder that it is stored in.

So checked in downloads but none in there, searched through spotlight and the only download it found was the one I experimented with and saved to my desktop?
I am beginning to think this is what I will have to do in future?
    Thanks

What app did you use to download. That might give a clue as to where downloads are stored.

The app you used might tell you where they are stored in the preferences.

In the app you used to download press Apple comma and have a look to see if it tells you anything.
