downloading dvd's

    This is the first time I'm doing this so bear with me, how do you download a dvd onto my pc, when I try it just says it's copyright protected, how do I get around this? Any help much appreciated!

    A Google search for "ripping dvds" threw up a number of references. Try this one, it is as good as any. My preferred software is DVD Shrink.

    Cheers, also as I have two drives on my pc is there any way of copying the dvd straight to a blank dvd in the other drive?

    A while ago I did use clone dvd but dont copy dvd's anymore but try http://www.videohelp.com for more info and tutorials.

    If you have DVD shrink you can set the burn engine to be Nero (the free trial will work) and it will shrink (from double layer to single layer) using temp files on hard disk and then burn to the blank disk. You can then set it to shut the machine when it is finished.
