It's been a long time since I had the time to play computer games, downloads didn't exist back then. But with the impending release of Star Wars Battlefront I've decided its time to start again.

Two things have hit me, the first is using a game pad instead of a mouse and keyboard, doesn't do it for me, the other is download the game or buy the disc.

Having pre-ordered Battlefront I was surprised that the download was dearer that the disc, what's the big difference?

No difference really one you download from a client (Origin) and the other you install from the disk (which would still be linked in with Origin). Also where did you pre-order from Origin?

The disks are only cheaper if you're buying the download directly through the client. Plenty of sites (legit resellers) will do it cheaper than discs

Pre-ordered from Amazon, £50 for the download and £40 for the disc.

I normally pre-order everything from amazon just to make sure I have got an order in then go looking for it cheaper nearer the launch date when all the suppliers are trying to outdo each other on price.
