Didn’t see that reported anywhere and he was a pretty big player back in the day. RIP.

Ah, it's a shame that he has died. I didn't follow him that closely, but he always seemed to me to be a gentleman of snooker. I remember watching him play.

No I didn't, it was a tad unusual I thought.

I saw the article (was an obituary piece with some history about his earlier life) buried away on the DT last week.

Quite a bit name back in the late 70/80's in Snooker Terms.

Wasn't exactly the most exciting player to watch but came across as a nice well mannered chap.

I read about his death on the BBC website to be fair, it definitely did get reported

I use to dread matches between him and Terry Griffiths.
