Doublesided recording

    Can some one tell me if the DVR-530H will recorde on a double sided disk I read the Tech info and it says it can, but I downloaded the manuel and can NOT find any info on recording to a double sided disk

    Do you mean Double Sided or Double Layer? If the former then yes it will as these are effectively two 'normal' discs stuck back to back. If the latter then the answer is still yes but only the DVD-R DL variant - it won't record to the more available DVD+R DL.

    Double Layer DVD-R are slowly working their way onto the market - Verbatim discs are available now from suppliers such as SVP. A few more months and we should have a few more brands available and a better idea of compatibility.
