Double Agent Release Date, Demo Revealed

A Ubisoft Community Manager has some important info about Sam Fisher's arrival date.

August 7, 2006 - A post by Frag Doll Rhoulette on Ubisoft's community forums reveals the release date for the upcoming stealth sequel Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent. We knew the game would release sometime in October, and it looks like the official date will be October 19.

The Frag Dolls are a team of female gamers assembled by Ubisoft to promote women in gaming and Ubisoft in gaming. Rhoulette is the company's community manager.

Along with the release date, Rhoulette also reveals that a demo of the game will be available beforehand. The Xbox 360 demo will feature multiplayer, and the PC version will have both single- and multiplayer sneaking action. While Ubisoft has not announced a release date for the demos, the Doll estimates it won't be before September 19.

Rhoulette also confirms there will be no public beta testing this time out.
Sorry should just have read 'canned'. Stray 'also' sneaked in there, it was early.
Now you have confused me even further.

Is your question:

Has this game been canned for the PS3?

My answer is 'I do not know, as far as I can see its still scheduled to be released'.

I haven't seen anything about SplinterCell being cancelled on the PS3 - I always look on IGN but didnt see it being a headline so I maybe missed it?

Would appreciate if you could advise what these several games are that have been canned please.
