At present I have a Toshiba SD220E DVD player. This player has received rave reviews everywhere as brilliant value for money and I believe it probably is.
However I am now looking at various DVD players, mostly Denon, and I would like to buy a DVD2900. I know it is not a new model but the spec, and possible price at the moment, are mighty tempting.
I am not that bothered about HDMI at the moment as I already give Sky more than enough money per month as it is, plus my television is not HD compatible.
How much better could I expect from the Denon ? It should be miles ahead of that which I have but, even secondhand, it is still a lot more expensive.
    Help please !

I personally think price will outweigh performance. What the denon will give you, is very good build qulity and should last a long time.I doubt there will be much to split the two picture wise.
