Please can anyone recommend door chimes that
  • Are wired using a transformer (NOT wireless)
  • Are loud
  • Have a backdoor option
  • Can be chained so that two chimes can be attached to the system
I had intended to buy D454 - Warbler but saddly didn't get round to it and YIL that, in spite of several sites promising next day delivery it has been discontinued and no-one has it in stock.

None of the other Friedland ones look as loud (87dB at 1m) and none of the other makes seem to have any form of measurement.

Very frustrated and kicking myself as I need them for Tuesday at the latest.

Thanks

Fails the wired requirement but the Friedland Libra would meet all the others. Mine's been in place for three years with no issues if reliability is the concern with wireless.

As well as being as loud as you require, there's a version with a strobe light as well.

We use a Byron. It's wireless though - one mains receiver and one battery portable. It's been great. Worth checking their range.

The reason for wired is that I have a rather nice bell push that I want to use which is only going to work with a wired system.

Not really, you could open up a wireless push and connect the wires from the wired push to it.
