I have played it, but not the PC version. I have only been on it 30 mins so far, and am quite enjoying it, darkness is used to good effect, I have it on rookie level, and it is still quite tough!

Need to have a longer play, but still enjoying Star Wars Commando at the mo!

OK - but blockier than the PC IMO

Prefer the PC version - also could have sworn that parts are cut out (Am sure you walk outside before "Hell" is unleashed)........

Correct you go out of an airlock to another part of the base

You cant expect 4 year old pc technology to match current. Are the graphics as good as something like Chronicles of Riddick ?

Riddick is sharper graphically IMO, Doom3 goes more to emulate the PC version so they try to cram the detail in.

It would probably look more like the PC one if running through a component cable etc. I think it's worth a look/rental first to see how you think it compares.

I've played through quite a bit of the PC version, i'm getting this to see how it compares and the original doom on live should be fun!

I think what he means is too compare PC and Xbox versions of Doom3 and to play original Doom online on Xbox. I believe the Xbox version of Doom 1/2 are offline/lan only not XBL.

Actually it seems quite the opposite! It's got an average rating of 91.4% on Games Ranking and IGN gave it 9.3/10, Gamespot 8.6/10 anf Gamespy 5/5. The PC had an average rating of 88% with IGN giving it 8.9/10, Gamespot 8.5/10 and Gameplay 4.5/5.

It's meant to be an improvement over the PC version, mainly due to the superb live co-op mode. May be worth a dabble!

And it's the above I'm really looking forward to.
Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, seen it too many times before but the online co-op sounds excellent.
Just need to get my XBL problems sorted now....

It was more off other peoples comments who had played it that I was making these assumptions.

Online Co Op does sound interesting....

OK you have me. I have preordered the special edition tin from Amazon for £35 inc first classs postage (Not getting cuaght out with that one again )

You get the first two games as a bonus with the special edition and they can be played multiplayer split screen which should be fun. Not a bad price either £39 @ game is the next cheapest place I can find it.

You guys cost m a fortune on here

Probably see you on the Coop online then Spike. I always seem to miss you on Halo 2 !

Wish I'd gone for the SE tin now, as usual rushed into ordering it without realising this existed. Playing Ultimate and II co-op would be superb.

Not been on for a while due to what eventually turned out to be a faulty BT box just outside my house. Nevermind, just replaced everything inside the house first before the problem was found
I'm also going to be changing my tag soon :thumbsdow

:hiya:Will be good to see your (new) name on something other than Halo 2. I must admit to selling that 2 weeks after buying it due to frustration of continually dying at the hands of people who play it 24/7. Nearly drove me to mass murder. Got some good uns to look forward to now ie Doom/Lockdown/Forza etc.

I must admit I am addicted to Halo 2. Friends and I have clocked some serious hours on this on Live since it was launched.

I am suprised you were gettinbg dicked. Matchmaking makes sure you are in games with like ability players which for the most part works (Except for those with multiple live accounts  )

Looking forward to the multiplayer Co Op on Doom. The deathmatch wont be much cop I would imagine, it wasnt on the PC version but the co op sounds cool :)

Basically cos I am really poo at fast paced FPS's. RS3 for me is much more of a sociable experience.

As for Doom 3 I totally agree, although I love team games especially on RS3 I find co-op more agreeable so am looking forward to that. :smashin:
