but I've just bought an XLR female to XLR male subwoofer cable whereas my sub (only unpacked after that) only has a phono input (servo-15; btw)

i could tell you the long story about how i checked the website and the manual (but never the sub itself - still in box from day of purchase) and thought it would have both, phono and XLR sockets, but ...

    now the big Q:
is there such a thing like an XLR (female) to phono adaptor or converter
    or
can i give up immediately and eg order a Mark Grant cable?!?

Yes you can get the XLR to phono adaptor from places such as Maplin but I think it would be better to just bite the bullet and get a Mark Grant subwoofer cable.

Thanks for the hint, Mark. Means, I have a choice at least. The adaptor would only be used temporarily as I might either chuck in a BFD soon (as I don't have the X-30) and would need a diff. connection (BFD -> sub) again or upgrade - though later - to a diff. sub like the MX350 or ASW850. On the other hand, I could sell on the MarkGrant but who (else) needs 8 meters :)

    Cheers, Michael
