Your chance to play Donkey Konga.
It's a different game mate. But cheers.
'Donkey Kong Jungle Beat' utilises the "bongo" controller, but is a side scrolling platform game, not a music type game.
Bah my mistake, some are saying 1st quarter of 2005, in America 15th March 2005(unconfirmed)
What is it with them and only being able to release one game every 3 or 4 months?
I wouldn't blame Nintendo for these slow releases...don't forget they're making games for 4 consoles atm as well as preparing two new hardware launches
At a guess I'd say they're working on
GC - 7 titles?
GBA - 3-4 titles?
DS - 15 titles?
Revolution - ?
Personally I think they're spreading themselves too thin. They should have just ditched the DS and gone straight for the next GBA (which they've admitted is in development already)
Back on topic. Jungle Beat looks like a cool game though. I thought it would play like a gimmick but the E3 videos looked like a lot of fun. I'm still waiting for the US release of Donkey Konga though...the soundtrack for that game embarasses the terrible soundtrack that the PAL version is getting!

Maybe Nintendo need to sell off their hardware line to someone and use the money to widen their studios to make more games.
The gamecube is a joke compared to the other two consoles when it comes to depth and breath of games. It they could release their games sooner, I doubt the GC would have failed so badly.
I will probably get donkey konga as well, just to use those cool bongos. Especially as I missed out on the dreamcast maracas
Never mind me, I am just miffed because DK and Diddy are my fav Ninty characters. Not nearly enough of their games!
And where is Pilotwings???
Pilotwings is being developed by Factor 5 (which is a VERY good thing), and is going to skip the Cube and be a launch or close-to-launch title for the Revolution.
thats bad news
pilot wings was one of the many games i remember playing on the snes.
i was looking forward to getting some of these old classics relaunched when i got my cube.
when is the launch date for the revolution anyways?
are they slowing down producing gamecube games because the console is dying? doesnt seem much steam left in the console at all, or am i missing forthcoming releases?
I would be very wary of this "revolution" console. ATM it is little more than vapourware, and i'll eat my hat if we see another Nintendo console.
(Ketchup at the ready)
There are still several AAA games due for release for the Cube:
Tales of Symphonia came out on Tuesday Stateside and is now on its way to me
Resi Evil 4 (that looks AWESOME )
Paper Mario 2
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Donkey Konga 1 + 2
Animal Crossing (EU release, and about time too. This game is a classic).
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Legend of Zelda (top of my wanted list)
Fire Emblem (doubtful for EU)
Killer 7 (still dubious about this one)
Unity (this could be very interesting, and certain to be unconventional, as it's from the brain of Jeff "llama" Minter)
I've left games off here that are "vapour-ish" ware, and that may end up on the Revolution, like Mario 128, Thornado, Game Zero etc.
Sorry that this thread has been hijacked a bit, but it's not all doom and gloom on the Cube, and the rest of this year (from September onwards) is looking particularly rosy (if you can import!).
Apparently Nintendo will have this "revolution" console ready for E3 2005, at least some rolling demo of it or something.
I'll have some branston with my hat please.
