I used MP3myMp3 to record live radio until they became virus unclean.
I switched to Donar MP3 Recorder which was better for me as it has a neat manual Pause button to blank out the station announcements and adverts.
It worked well then I damaged the old WinXP PC and bought a new Win 7 PC, Donar downloaded ok but I'm having a problem I can't resolve and Donar dont respond to my repeated requests.

There is a DropDown menu for Device and Input Pin to be selected, but its empty. I'd expect it to display RealTek and SteroMix.

How do I get these two things into the menu for me to select them?
They just appeared automatically when I did the original install on WinXP.

I've moved this to the Windows 7 section as I think you will have a better chance of useful help here.... albeit a Moderator in this section may think there would be an even better place for it.

Good luck.

I downloaded it from BestFreewareDownload.com and its the latest version
V2.4.0 and the update history says its a Major Update covering -
'Win7 compatibility updates. Bug fixed. Sound cards better detection'
so does that mean other users may also have had difficulties getting their sound Device to be recognised?

So is this common to other programmes and how do I proceed?
Thanks
Mike

It seems Gavtech may be wrong here, no responses.

I've just got a PM from a reader who had a similar problem with Audacity and
gave me the following wiki search

Mixer Toolbar Issues - Audacity Wiki

This spells out for me the way to get both Device and Input recognised.
It looks stressful for me so its a job for that quiet time in the house on a Sunday.
