    Hi,
I want to make a screen with screen goo.
because a steward firehawk is too expensive for me, I will make my one grey screen.
What base and top plane do you prefer for the Domino 20 H.
On the screen goo homepage I cant find the Domino and I dont know how much lumens the beamer has.(1000 Lumen with 2300 Contrast ?)

I think a grey lite base with a grey lite top will give me a better black level with good colour and contrast as a white screen.
Or what about the grey one, is it too dark ?
    Please give me an answer...

    Yours
    Richard

    Richard,

Take my advice, stick with a white screen, not grey.

I have a Stewart 45" x 80" screen in the demo room with half Firehawk and half Studiotek 130 material.
Just about everyone who has seen it prefers the white half of the screen with the Domino 20 (and in fact the other models as well)

You will find Alan Roser, MD of Sim2 UK, will endorse white screens with a small amount of gain, say 1.3 with their projectors.

    Hi Jeff,
oh Jeff, dont understand me wrong, you helps a lot.
I think the real problem with blacklevel is my room, and or my very old cheap screen.
It is a normal living-room with white walls and ceiling.
My current screen is a 10 years old 2 meter presentation screen witch was a present from the firm where I work.
I really now understand how important the right screen for a beamer is.
And because I read only good things about screen goo and my brother is a professional painter I will go with screen goo.
So, when you prefer a white screen with the Domino and other SIM2-Beamer, I will try it out !
Thank you very much for your help.

    Yours
    Richard
