I’m not sure how to ask this question correctly.

Does Dolby Vision have different builds / versions?

For example would the Dolby Vision in my E6 be the same as the Dolby Vision in a C9 or a Sony OLED?

    Hi

Yes there are different versions of Dolby Vision profiles and i imagine the C9 will be using the latest version and your E6 be on a older build.

Yes, the latest version of Dolby Vision is called internally DV Low Latency, it supports 4K 60Hz output compared to past versions which were limited to 4K 30Hz output and only certain TV's support it.

When the Xbox One console got DV LL support last year Dolby actually made a list, it includes LG 2017 and 2018 models but the older E6 are not on it. Anything from 2019 on-wards will have DV LL support.
