I'm trying to get Dolby True HD sound from my PS3, but not all of the sound fields that ar shown on their tables seem to be available to me.

I've checked the output from the playstation and it all seems well, what am i doing wrong?

Help!!

Is it a "fat" PS3, or a slimline one?

The fat one can't bitstream HD audio, it can only send the decoded LPCM signal which might affect how many sound modes are available?

I know in my 906 manual, under multichannel PCM pretty much everything has an asterisk next to it saying "not available for some sources" or words to that effect.

As long as the PS3 is set up correctly you should still be receiving and listening to Dolby TrueHD, but because the PS3 is decoding it and not the 1007 it will be displayed as multi channel on the front of the 1007.

I am making the big assumption that you are connecting via HDMI by the way...
