Dolby digital 2.0 sourround?

    Just bought a r1 dvd (The Stand) from Loaded.com and it says the audio is Dolby digital 2.0 sourround. Any one tell a newbie what this actually means i understand dolby digital 5.1 and 6.1 ect but whats 2.0 sourround?

    Dolby Digital 2.0 can be one of three things:

    2x Mono
    Stereo
    Stereo including DPL

    So I assume that Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround refers to the third option, i.e. surround sound is extracted by the DPL decoder. This is not discrete sound (like 5.1).

    If you have Pro Logic II on your amp put it in that mode, should make a fairly good job of giving you surround.
