Dolby atmos/dolby surround

I have notice that with Netflix and sky my receiver says Atmos/dolby surround. There is also an option for just DD+.

Which is the best option? When you select Atmos/surround it then turns into ONLY atmos as in pic so very confused.

Don't want an upsample only native sound.
Using a C9/Denon 3600h and Q accoustic 3030i with 4 height speakers l.

Streaming services such as Netflix use DD+. Dolby Digital Plus is a format and not a mode you can engage or disengage. Streaming services package Atmos metadata with DD+.

Dolby Surround is an upmixing mode you apply to audio. It is negated and not applicable to Atmos. If the content has no Atmos metadata then DSU would create pseudo object based audio by upmixing the content absent of any Atmos metadata. Dolby Surround would be applicable to DD+ if the DD+ audio stream doesn't include any Atmos metadata. If the DD+ audio stream include Atmos metada then DSU processing would be negated because it is surplus to requirement.

If you've Dolby Surround Upmixing engaged on the AV receiver then it will only ever be applied to content not inclusive of Atmos metadata. It would be applied to DD+ absent of said metadata, but not to FDD+ audio inclusive of Atmos metadata.

So basically I am okay to just leave it as DD+ even if it doesn't say Atmos if the source has Atmos it will play it.

Yes, as long as you aren't otherwise using another upmixing mode such as Neural:X. If engaged, Neural:X would negate Atmos and leave you with just the DD+ elemet with the Neural:X upmicing applied to ut.

If Not employing any ipming modes relative to that source then you'd just get the DD+ or the DD+ inclusive of Atmos sans any upmising. If you were to engage DSU then you'd get Atmos when Atmos metadata is precent and DD+ with DSU applied if there's no Atmos metadata present.
