That is good news on the PQ front. I was a bit worried as everyone was so disappointed with the R1 quality. Will pre-order mine soon :)

Ordered mine yestaday.:D I said on the other Dog Soldiers thread on a TV the PQ seems ok for a low budget film anyway, so I for one wasn't too worried.

Dead funny film can't wait to see it again and hear that comentary.

    are these comments just subjective?

    A comparison here:

    http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=2433

The R2 has a couple more extras, no mention of PQ differences here and the format is identical (other than PAL/NTSC obviously).

The latest Home Entertainment magazine mentions that the R2 PAL version also has duff PQ but stress that this is purely down to the source material not the DVD transfer.

I'm guessing that the film itself just looks that way.

Might be an idea, should get £19 for it on eBay... enough to buy the R2 and a few beers to watch it with.

    I don't know him/her, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

trust me, sometimes they get very anal -:p

I know, I heard they've spent 6 months trying to work out how to save £30 on a Denon 3800 :p

    I reckon that'd do it :)
